The S&P/TSX Composite Low Volatility Index attempts to capture the "low volatility anomaly" in Canadian markets by measuring the performance of low volatility stocks from the S&P/TSX Composite index. The objective of the S&P/TSX Composite Low Volatility Index is to achieve lower volatility than its benchmark, the S&P/TSX Composite Index.
